Food Point has a strong history as a family business, with a legacy dating back to 1987 when it first began as L&K Food Distributors, named after its founding owners.
It continued to grow, servicing the local community in and around the Hunter for twenty years from it’s one warehouse in Adamstown.
In 2007, when we were preparing to have our first child, we bought the business with a dream to take it to a new level, both in quality and service.
We have always believed that food is a foundation for connection and culture, and we endeavour to be the kind of business that empowers chefs, restaurants, cafes and individuals to deliver uncompromised connection and culture to their world.
From day one we’ve harnessed our passion into building on the L&K legacy, and have expanded our operations to serve more customers, and deliver the superior quality, range diversity and priority service they’ve come to love and expect.
Our journey to Food Point, and our growth since, has been an exciting, challenging and rewarding time for our family. We genuinely love serving our customers and pride ourselves on being a family owned Australian business, contributing to our local community, its people and its future.
In 2010 we took a huge step forward and became members of NAFDA.
NAFDA is a leading Australian foodservice procurement company, owned and operated by distributors like us who have strong ties in their local communities.
Today Food Point continues to grow, expanding on national and international products, some of which are exclusive to us. We’re humbled and proud that we continue to be supported and trusted by our loyal customers. We put people first, because it’s people who make this amazing journey possible.
